IEEE/ACM Embedded Systems Week (ESWEEK) is a comprehensive event covering the architecture, software, and design of intelligent and connected computing systems. The 2026 edition will be held as an in-person event in Barcelona, Spain, from October 4th to October 9th. The week brings together three major international conferences: the International Conference on Compilers, Architectures, and Synthesis for Embedded Systems (CASES), the International Conference on Codesign of Embedded Systems (CODES), and the International Conference on Embedded Software (EMSOFT).
The technical program is designed to bridge the gap between hardware and software research. It includes a journal-integrated publication model where regular papers are published in the ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems (TECS). The week features a symposium on Formal Methods and Models for System Design (MEMOCODE) and various specialized workshops, including Memory and Storage Computing (MSC), Rapid System Prototyping (RSP), and Time-Centric Reactive Software (TCRS).
Educational opportunities are integrated throughout the week, beginning with virtual education classes led by domain experts. These are followed by a series of tutorials covering topics such as deep software stack optimization for AI-enabled systems, design automation for cyber-physical systems, and hardware-aware compilation for in-memory computing. The event also hosts a software competition, an ACM SIGBED student research competition, and a Ph.D. forum and recruiting event to support the next generation of researchers.
