Wolf Advanced Technology (WOLF) has announced the development of a new family of rugged computing solutions powered by the NVIDIA IGX Thor platform. These modules are designed to provide high-performance AI capabilities at the tactical edge, specifically targeting C5ISR, aerospace, and industrial applications that require intensive data processing in harsh conditions.
The new product line comprises four distinct modules: the 16TZ, 16T0, 16T5, and 16T1. Built on the NVIDIA Blackwell GPU architecture, each module delivers 2070 FP4 TFLOPs of AI compute performance. The hardware configuration includes 2560 CUDA cores, 96 Gen 5 Tensor Cores, and 128GB of ECC LPDDR5X memory. These specifications are tailored to support deep learning inference, sensor fusion, computer vision, and autonomous mission systems.
To ensure reliability in mission-critical deployments, the modules are engineered for extreme environments. They operate across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and are built to withstand shock and vibration up to 40G and 10G, respectively. The series utilizes a proprietary cooling architecture capable of dissipating over 100W of thermal load, allowing for sustained performance without compromising the size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements of embedded systems.
The product line offers various configurations to meet specific mission needs:
The 16TZ module integrates the IGX Thor with a ConnectX-7 SmartNIC, featuring dual x8 PCIe and high-speed networking (40/100G-KR), optimized for high-performance compute and data fusion.
The 16T0 adds a WOLF FGX2 FPGA to the IGX Thor and ConnectX-7 base, providing specialized support for advanced video capture and format conversion.
The 16T5 is designed for general-purpose AI compute and networking, offering 2.5GBase-T and CAN Bus connectivity alongside DisplayPort video output.
The 16T1 incorporates a PCIe Gen4 switch with safety features, making it suitable for safety-critical applications and autonomous platforms.
These modules are aligned with SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) standards, including profiles 14.6.11/13 and 14.2.16, ensuring interoperability within modern defense ecosystems. The WOLF IGX Thor line is scheduled for early access in the second quarter of 2026.
